Transit of Venus at 5:36 CDT

Clear skies in Duluth for the 2012 Venus transit. AAS members in concert with the MWAP held a public telescope viewing session at UMD next to the planetarium (see also the 2012 AAS events gallery). A sequence of transit pictures follow.

This image, along with the other images, were taken with a TV85 refractor with a 0.8x TV field flattener and a Thousands Oaks Type 2+ solar filter using a modified Canon EOS 50D on an ALT-AZ mount with no tracking.
